Welcome to Girls on the Run of Greater Summit – a life-changing, non-profit prevention program in Ohio for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Our mission is "to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running."

Girls on the Run and Girls on Track combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with healthy living education. Our programs instill self-esteem through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training - all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.

Girls on the Run and Girls on Track is a lot more than a running program! It is our goal to help all girls grow into physically, emotionally, mentally and socially healthy women, to dream and achieve goals, and to become contributing members of the community.

Girls on the Run of Greater Summit is an affiliate council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 160+ locations across the United States and Canada. Girls on the Run of Greater Summit is also an affiliate program of Shaw Jewish Community Center in Akron.
