HOW TO REGISTER FOR GIRLS ON THE RUN OR GIRLS ON TRACK

A parent/guardian must complete the registration form for each girl. Before you begin, review the steps below to understand the registration process.

Registration forms will be distributed at school sites the first week of school.
Please note that practice sessions are held twice a week over the 10-week curriculum, and it is important for girls to commit to and attend all practice sessions.

Step 1:
Registration for the Spring program begins on January 30, 2012.  The territory of the Greater Summit Council includes the Ohio counties of Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit. Please view the Girls on the Run Locations or the Girls on Track Locations page to find the location that is most convenient for you.

Step 2:
Location detail and registration information are listed for each program site with session days and times.

Step 3:
Download, print and fill out the registration form where provided. Online registration is not available for Spring 2012. Most locations require onsite registration, so please review the location information carefully. (see fee schedule above on this page for fee information)

Step 4:
Programs close at a maximum of 15 participants for returning Girls on the Run programs and 12 participants for first-time sites. If programs do not reach a minimum of 8 participants prior to the first week, you may be offered an alternate location or a refund.

Participants whose schools are oversubscribed (15+ girls per program) may be automatically entered into a random lottery. Once registration is closed, parents will be notified whether their daughter has been added to the program, or placed on a waiting list.

Step 5: March 5-19 is the Late Registration period. For programs that are not filled may continue to accept registrations through the fourth lesson.

REFUNDS

Refunds will be offered through the second week of the program

Girls the Run of Greater Summit will refund 50% of the registration fee if requested in writing prior to the 4th lesson of a Girls on the Run of Greater Summit program. No refunds will be issued for any terminations after the 4th lesson except in the event that an unforeseen illness or health issue arises after the 4th lesson. Such instances will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the Girls on the Run Executive Director, and discussion and review will be held prior to refunding 50% of the registration fee.
